AOC Europe – a prominent event, which features in the calendars of international organisations and individuals across government, defence, industry, and academia – hosted its 2021 edition after a one-year pause caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic. The highly anticipated event symbolized return to business-as-usual for many regular AOC exhibitors and attendees, making it a great platform to reconnect with high-level partners and customers. HENSOLDT, who became the Gold Sponsor of the event, took the opportunity to not only underscore its position as the German champion in the defence industry with a leading market position in Europe and a global reach spotlighting its Electronic Warfare portfolio, but also revealed the latest additions to the wide range of competitive premium electronics and solutions by HENSOLDT.
HENSOLDT Spotlights its Electronic Warfare Portfolio
The AOC Europe 2021, held at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool, UK, between the 12th – 13th of October, combined a packed technical conference program with a trade exhibition, facilitating exchange of information between industry practitioners and end-users about the ever-evolving electronic warfare. HENSOLDT was one of the specialist suppliers showcasing its wide range of capabilities in SIGINT, self-protection, and electronic attack across all domains, as well as highlighting a number of products from the Electronic Warfare portfolio including: Kalætron® Attack Escort Jammer, Kalætron® RWR (S-M-L) Radar Warning Receiver, and the EW AESA Radar. HENSOLDT Analytics team, represented by Alexander Oberkersch, Business Development Manager, hosted live demonstrations of the award-winning Media Mining System, discussing OSINT and its role in modern information operations.
HENSOLDT Introduces New Communications Electronic Attack Systems at AOC Europe
One of the highlights of the event for the HENSOLDT team was the introduction of the new-generation communications electronic attack systems for countering threat signals, the GEW® GRJ8500 for V/U/SHF jamming and the GEW® GRJ6000 for HF jamming, developed by HENSOLDT South Africa.
“Introduced to reliably counter the new and emerging signals that have reshaped the electronic battlefield, HENSOLDT’s new GEW® GRJ8500 and GEW® GRJ6000 systems feature the most advanced signal attack methods on the market”, said Hennie Venter, Chief Executive of HENSOLDT South Africa’s GEW Business Unit.
The GRJ family of EA systems is aimed at the global land electronic warfare (EW) market for tactical and strategic communications jamming applications. With its compact size and common interface to hardware components, the systems can be configured to meet even the most demanding platform or installation requirements.
