We are delighted to have hosted our second webinar of the year 2021 earlier this month with the topic OSINT and Imagery Intelligence Analysis in Countering Terrorism and Insurgency: An African Perspective. The virtual event happened on the 16th of June and attracted 113 attendees from international organisations in the areas of defence, security, military, and intelligence.
HENSOLDT Analytics OSINT Analyst, Anne-Lynn Dudenhöfer, presented the OSINT perspective on the Northern Mozambique insurgency. Our external guest, Dimitris Bliziotis, Technical Manager of the Earth Observation and GIS Function of Planetek Hellas, spoke about the Earth Observation & GIS Services for the Security, Defence & Law Enforcement Sector. In the last part of the virtual event, the participants had the chance to ask specific questions about using intelligence technology to analyse conflicts.
The activity, which results were presented at the webinar, received funding by the European Space Agency – ESA within the framework of the EO Science for Society (EOEP5 Block 4) – Expanding Demand for EO Derived Information EOLAW Project.
