Webinar: OSINT and Imagery Intelligence Analysis in Countering Terrorism and Insurgency
Our next webinar – OSINT and Imagery Intelligence Analysis in Countering Terrorism and Insurgency: An African Perspective – will take place on the 16th of June, 15:00 (GMT+2).
During the event, HENSOLDT Analytics OSINT Analyst Anne-Lynn Dudenhöfer will lead the discussion and present an OSINT perspective on the Northern Mozambique insurgency. Our external guest Dimitris Bliziotis, Technical Manager of the Earth Observation and GIS Function of Planetek Hellas, will bring insights on the topic Earth Observation & GIS Services for the Security, Defence & Law Enforcement Sector. Both presenters will also take part in a live Q&A session answering queries from the attendees.

ISS World Middle East and Africa 2021
HENSOLDT Analytics will take part in the ISS World Middle East & Africa from 28th to 30th of June in the city of Dubai.
The event is the world’s largest gathering of Regional Law Enforcement, Intelligence and Homeland Security Analysts, Telecoms as well as Financial Crime Investigators responsible for Cyber Crime Investigation, Electronic Surveillance and Intelligence Gathering.

Informational Instruments of Power in Hybrid Campaigns
On the 12th of May, we had the pleasure to host a virtual event exploring the state of contemporary hybrid warfare, as well as the role of fake news and disinformation.
HENSOLDT Analytics Chief Visionary Officer and OSINT specialist, Mark Pfeiffer led the discussion on Informational Instruments of Power in Hybrid Campaigns & The Role of Disinformation and Fake News. Two external guests, Ralph Thiele and Peter Cochrane, also renowned experts in the realm of intelligence, security, and information technology, shared their perspectives and answered questions from the attendees.
The number of registered participants greatly exceeded our expectations, setting an exciting precedent for this year’s series of virtual events. This particular webinar was not only the first virtual get-together of the year – it was also our first webinar as a member of the HENSOLDT family.

ELG project workshop at the B2B Software Days
The H2020 European Language Grid (ELG) Project conducted a workshop at the 6th International B2B Software Days on the 11th of May.
The ELG session took place virtually and combined a presentation about the ELG project, a demo of its Language Technology (LT) platform and outstanding Austrian industry experts and other research presentations. Over 70 participants attended the workshop.
The ELG-project addresses the fragmentation of European LT by establishing the ELG as the primary platform for LT in Europe. HENSOLDT Analytics participates in the project in a variety of ways: as a provider of technologies and models, taking part in communication and dissemination activities and being responsible for innovation management within the project.

Gerhard Backfried, Chief Scientific Officer at HENSOLDT Analytics, was one of the presenters of the ELG Workshop.
Covid-19 Vaccination
Some of our HENSOLDT Analytics team gladly received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at the Austria Center Vienna earlier this month.
As we have been closely following the regulations to contain the spread of the virus and measures to protect the health of our team members while continuing to serve our customers, after posing for a group picture, the team dispersed to maintain safe distance!
The immunization inspires hope of a return of daily life to normalcy in the near future.
