We congratulate our newest HENSOLDT Analytics team member, Anne-Lynn Dudenhöfer, for her recent publication as co-author of the article “Leaking in terrorist attacks: A review”, published in the Aggression and Violent Behavior journal (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.avb.2021.101582).

The article is a result of the LATERAN working group, consisting of the following project partners: the Psychological University Berlin (PHB), the German University of Policing (DHPol) and the Bavarian Criminal Police (BLKA). The research was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The project investigates early warning signs of Islamist and right-wing extremist terrorist attacks in Germany. As mentioned in the article, Leaking is a frequent warning sign prior to religiously and politically motivated terrorism, and may be used by law enforcement agencies to prevent similar future offenses.

Anne-Lynn is an Open Source Intelligence Analyst and she joined our team this month. She studied the MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Oxford, UK and the MA in Genocide Studies at Uppsala University, Sweden. Subsequently, she worked as an Open Source Intelligence Analyst with the Criminal Police in Berlin (LKA Berlin) and as a Counterterrorism Research Associate at the Psychological University Berlin (PHB).

We welcome her aboard, and look forward to a successful journey together!
